Special Interests
I have been a faculty member of the Department of Pediatrics since 1979. I originally trained as a pediatrician then became interested in the genetics and syndromology of mental retardation. My main work now involves the practice and teaching of clinical genetics, and conducting clinical research. I am an active, full-time clinical geneticist and conduct evaluations in both onsite and regional satellite clinics.
Much of my professional career has been and remains focused on the Angelman syndrome and related neurogenetic conditions, including autism. More information about my work on Angelman syndrome is posted on our web site and you can find additional information on the national Angelman Syndrome Foundation web site.
