Judy Angley
Associate IN
Working at UF
Since 1979
Description of services provided to NICU: Judy began providing education to families of babies from the newborn nursery and this later changed to providing education to babies discharged from NICU. She came into the NICU as a developmental specialist bringing information and techniques from the growing body of research which looked at preterm infant development with the NICU environment. Judy also worked with Occupational Therapists in the NICU to assess and plan for appropriate positioning, handling, and the education necessary for staff to carry out these plans. She also provides orientation for medical students in the Newborn nursery and participates in the Developmental Rotations for pediatric interns at UF.
Since 2002, she has joined the March of Dimes as a NICU Family Support Specialist. The NICU Family Support Program provides direct services to families whose babies are in the NICU. Judy also participates in the Neonatology clinic.
