Neonatal Outreach Program

Karrie RossleyThrough the RPICC contract, the division of Neonatology is responsible for giving a minimum of six outreach lectures per 12 month period. Of these, three must include our neighboring county health departments. We invite staff from the Health Departments to come to the hospitals where the lectures are usually taking place. Our outreach area covers approximately south to Leesburg, FL, east to Palatka, FL, west to the Dixie Country area, and north to Jasper county. We have also provided outreach overage to Valdosta, GA, and Daytona, FL areas. The lectures are geared to each area’s specific needs and other topics that are requested by the outreach areas.

Continuing credit hours are given to nurses for these lectures. Our goal is to provide updated information in the fields of High risk Obstetrics, Perinatology, and Neonatology. Physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other personnel are always invited to attend.
