EDUCATION

We believe an optimal educational program depends on close faculty-resident relationship and a curriculum that provides a diverse clinical exposure and fosters a progression in resident responsibility and independence. The University of Florida Pediatrics residency curriculum is carefully designed to ensure this.

Our 90 full-time pediatricians and 53 affiliates are available to residents as mentors in patient care, teaching, and research. The Pediatric Residency Program exposes residents to the full spectrum of pediatrics-from health maintenance and disease prevention in the well child to complex intensive care of sick children. Our program balances teaching conferences with hands-on, supervised learning and offers an excellent combination of inpatient and outpatient care.
