Application process
Thank you for your interest in our program. We are thrilled to hear from you.
Application deadline for first year positions is November 1 each year for positions that begin on July 1 the following year. To apply you must sign up and participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) – http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/start.htm.
We request three letters of reference, your dean’s letter, your transcript, and your USMLE scores, all transmitted thru ERAS. We do accept International Medical Graduates and sponsor J-1 visas only. Paper applications will not be accepted.
Prior clinical training is not required for our residency program. We consider every application. Our Program Director or Housestaff Selection Committee will review all applications individually. It is very important for your file to be as complete as possible for their review.
A personal email to interview is sent to you upon acceptance. We interview in November, December and January on selected Mondays and Fridays.
If you are currently in medical school and would like information on a fourth year elective in Pediatrics, please see our information at Fourth Year Medical Curriculum - http://medinfo.ufl.edu/year4 and review procedures for visiting students at http://medcat.medinfo.ufl.edu/catview.php?rule=13.
Best wishes as you begin your residency search. We hope to hear from you!
