Evaluations
Residents are counseled through their training by the program director, chief residents and a faculty advisor. Residents are evaluated in writing at the end of each rotation by faculty and their peer colleagues using the ACGME competencies. Families and nurses also have the opportunity to evaluate residents.
Faculty advisors meet regularly with residents to review their evaluations and to act as mentors. All residents meet with the program director at least biannually. All residents take the national in-training exam yearly in preparation for the Pediatric Board examination.
